Our Evo 4-9 Standard Replacement manifold allows you to retain the OEM heat shield as well as using our 33mm runners for a sharp throttle response. After scanning and extensively testing the factory 4G63 Evolution turbo manifold, our conclusion is that only 3 out of the 4 runners reach the collector and 2 of the runners meet just before the turbo flange area. This exposes the factory item to pre-emptive failure as the extreme heat collects in such a small diameter of pipe with twice the exhaust gases it would normally experience. All this additional heat in this area also causes the metal to expand which gives way to movement and leaves it prone to cracking (a common problem). All Artec manifolds are guaranteed to fit your engine bay and auxiliaries without headache or fuss and are designed to be installed in approximately 10 minutes. The bolt locations are easily accessible as the cast was designed around them for ease of installation and accessibility.
